KUBERA MUDRA

Benefits:
- This “Three Finger Technique” mudra is used when one want to put more force behind their plans for the future. It always involves goals that people want to reach, or wishes that they would like to have fulfilled. It is said that something happens when the fingers of Mars (forcefulness), Jupiter (resplendence, exuberant joy), and Saturn (fixation on the essential and passing through new gateways) join forces.
- It is also used when one is looking for something specific like a free parking space, avoid traffic, looking for a specific dress and right price, the right book, some necessary information, etc. It doesn’t matter how long it is practiced, but it does matter that you do it with intensity.
- The Kubera Mudra also opens and decongests (cleanses) the frontal sinuses, especially if you draw the air upward while inhaling, as if you wanted to smell the fragrance of a flower.
- Practicing this mudra to specific use in everyday life can be quite fun. It can also give us inner tranquillity, confidence, and quietness.
How to practice:
Place the tip of your thumb, index finger, and middle finger together. Bend the other two fingers so they rest in the middle of your hand.
Hold the mudra with both hand. Practice while meditation and visualising goals or even in free time. Hold the mudra for any thing bet 10 – 20 mins daily.
The practice is simple.
- Formulate in your mind wish, or goal very clearly into words.
- Ask your heart whether this is good for you and whether it enriches your surrounding world.
- Now place the three fingers together,
- Phrase your wish in a positive way as you say it to yourself three times.
- Press your fingers together gently but firmly while you do this you may also feel pulsing as you apply right pressure.
- Visualize your goal, your future, or your special wishes.
This mudra can be used for concerns like parking spot or a new dress, etc. And here the mental preparation isn’t as important too, otherwise there are no shortcuts.
The following meditation and the affirmation should be done one to two times daily several days or weeks persistently for achieving larger goals or vision. This mudra can work wonders if practiced as mentioned, and some may start seeing results within weeks’ time too.
